Email software holds information in different ways; Outlook
express saves every folder in a different file named {name_of_outlook_folder}.dbx,
while Outlook 2000 and over saves all the information in a
single file named outlook.pst.
To backup your email information, the first step is locating
those files in your computer. If you are an Outlook Express
user, select your "inbox" folder and make a right-click of
your mouse on it. On the menu choose "properties". On the
"General" tab, under "This folder is stored in the following"

your computer to that folder and you will find all your email
files there. Be sure that you include this folder in your
daily backup.
In the case that you are an Outlook 2000 user, you can use

outlook.pst in the search field and hit "Search now". The
file will appear in your "Search results" page. If you select
the file, you will obtain the full path to this file in your
hard disk. Once again, be sure that you include this folder
in your daily backup.
