How to Set Up Outlook 2000 to Send and Receive Email
  1. Double-click the Microsoft Outlook 2000 icon.

  2. Click the Next button.

  3. Click the Next button.

  4. Click the Next button.

  5. Check the box next to Internet E-mail.
  6. Click the Next button.

  7. Click the Setup Mail Account button.

  8. In the Mail account field, type a name for your email account.
  9. In the Name field, type your full name.
  10. In the E-mail address field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@yourdomain.com).

  11. Click on the Servers tab.
  12. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) field, type mail.yourdomain.com.
  13. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type mail.yourdomain.com.
  14. In the Account name field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@yourdomain.com).
  15. In the Password field, type your email password.
  16. Check the box next to My server requires authentication.
  17. Click the Settings button.

  18. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  19. Click the OK button.

  20. Click on the Connection tab.
  21. Click the Connect using my phone line radio button in the Connection area.
  22. Click the down arrow on the Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection drop-down list and choose your connection.

  23. Click on the Advanced tab
  24. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type 2525.
  25. Click the OK button.

  26. Click the Next button.

  27. Click the Finish button.
